Lee Gwangjo, the owner of Muhguri restarurant realised its staff shortage so he decided to put those robots to deliver food orders to their customers since last year. Acoording to him, the Pudu robots are able to complete many of the tasks that a human can do while serving in a restaurant. In addition, robots can carry the orders for more than one table and as a result it creating greater efficiency for their business. The Pudu robots were manufactured and supplied by Shenzhen-based Pudu Robotics in China.
Earlier this February, there's also been sightings of the deployment of robots by Woowa Bros in foods deliveries at nearby area. Their robots also serve foods at Merry-go Kitchen, an Italian restaurant in Seoul, South Korea.

Last May, in a South Korean cafe in Daejeon, while promoting 'social distancing' measures due to COVID-19 pandemic, new robot barista seen very courteous and swift as it seamlessly makes its way towards customers.

Director of research at one smart factory solution, Lee Dong-bae, claimed that they supply and developed the barista robot together with a state-run science institute.

Vision Semicon system which uses a robotic arm making coffee. The serving robot can offers 60 various types of coffee then serves it to customers directly at their seats. It has built-in system which communicate and transmit data to other smart devices that controls the self-driving technology to calculate the best routes in the area of the cafe.
With this successful implementation of robots, we could expects more restaurants in South Korea to use robot technology in their restaurants, cafe and bar .
